Part of me feels that the Marvel U isn't broken and can keep going on, retconning things as needed to avoid having to retell origins and simply progressing with character development with all the characters we know and love. And I think no matter what you do, there are always going to be stories that certain readers don’t like. The only way to avoid that is to not do any stories at all.
