As a fan, I find the Marvel Universe feels much richer when we can check in and be reminded that these characters are still out there having adventures. I get why this can't happen much, but do you think anything is lost by that?
Well, the only thing that’s really lost is the happy accident, when the right creators do the right character with the right story and magic happens. But let me ask you: the last time we did an anthology series of the type you’re talking about, did you buy it? If so, excellent! But if not, you’re very much like most of the audience. We all, readers and creators and editors alike, love the notion of anthologies, we just don’t find them compelling enough to pick up consistently.
