Anonymous asked: Question about comic book fights: 1. Does the editorial force a writer to turn fights between comic book characters into stalemates, so that the fans of the potentially losing character wouldn't be upset? 2. Would a company profit from books, which would dedicate more footage to fights? Like for example a 10 issue book turning into a 12 issue book, due to 2 issues being totally dedicated to the fight and the showcase of the characters versatilities and skills as a fan-service?

I think that there are fans that like fights in comics, and there are other readers that are bored by them. Certainly AVX  VS did well, but not so well that we’ve repeated that approach again, at least not yet. We create stories, not wresting matches, so adding two perfunctory issues of pure fighting into a story isn’t something that we’re likely to want to do—everything must be in the service of the story being told. And in answer to question 1, no.
