comicbookman1 asked: We really can't compare the 60's with now. After all the hard work that Mark did it's not the same. Thanks to Mark's dedication we have some sort of Continuity so sorry I have to disagree with you. It's 2014 , we have computers , you have databases with all this information at your fingertips. This is why you pay your Editors. And just for the sake of arguing , I'm pretty sure I used Debacle correctly as the definition is A total, often ludicrous failure which is what happened

I pay my editors to edit, not to bookkeep. I understand that you’ve got your preferences, you just need to understand that our priorities are different. And I believe that, were Mark still alive, he’d have adjusted his priorities along the way as well. Once you get to 50+ years worth of stories, you reach a point where reconciling everything is impossible. Even in Mark’s last years, when he and I worked on the Handbook together, there was all sorts of stuff that we’d just shrug our shoulders at. Mark’s opinions would change over time, so don’t expect that 2014 Mark would feel exactly like 1996 Mark did.
