Anonymous asked: I got into an argument with a friend who was complaining that Corsair was brought back with no explanation because Bendis aparently hates continuity or something. I told him that odds are an explanation will be given eventually, so this is me asking you to confirm wether or not an explanation will be given.
I suppose this is just the world we live in now. As was evidenced yesterday, I got a question from somebody complaining about a story point in an issue that they hadn’t finished reading yet, that was answered on the subsequent pages. So in addition to wanting to binge on our entertainment, apparently we also want all of our story questions answered immediately.
Corsair’s been back for, what, a page so far? He’s not even come into contact with the X-Men at this point. My expectation is that you’ll get some manner of explanation, sure—though it may not be as long or as in-depth as you might like, as it seems like when fans are asking questions like this, what they want is a Reese Commission report with footnotes and cross-referencing. Whereas what we’re most interested in is the storytelling and the emotional truth of the scene.
But yes, in all likelihood you’ll get an explanation. Possibly on the very next page.
