The answer to the second question is pretty easy: AGE OF APOCALYPSE. Everybody forgets today, partly because there wasn’t much of an Internet in those days, how absolutely crazy everybody went when it was announced that all of the X-MEN titles were being cancelled and replaced. But it was a huge success.
